Villa Care Centre is a fully accredited long term care home in Midland,Ontario and serves 160 residents. The community is a vibrant town on Georgian Bay and is approximately 50 km north of Barrie and 48 km north-west of Orillia. Join our team as a Restorative Care Aide!

Under the direction of the Restorative Care Coordinator, the Restorative Care Aide will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of restorative care services. This role involves providing comprehensive resident care and rehabilitation support, with a strong focus on promoting resident independence and safety. Key responsibilities include direct resident care (ADLs, mobility, feeding), assessing and addressing restorative care needs, executing therapy programs (Physio, OT, Speech), and meticulously documenting resident status and progress. The role also requires strict adherence to safety and OHSA guidelines, active participation in CQI and Risk Management, effective interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing education.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Successful completion of training program in restorative care, or are enrolled in such a program; or

• Have successfully completed a relevant training course provided by the licensee that is designed and supervised by a qualified therapist who is a member of the appropriate college of a regulated health professional as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss. 79 and Ontario Regulation 67/22 (2).

• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education

• Must be flexible, innovative and creative

• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation or Long Term Care (Gerontology) is an asset.

• Must be computer literate

Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing and ensuring the provision of optimum care to promote the well-being of each individual resident. The Registered Nurse ensures and provides the delivery of nursing services to meet the assessed needs of the residents.

The key areas of responsibility include: Clinical Practice & Resident Care (assessment, intervention, care coordination, documentation, and wellness), Unit Management & Accountability (operations, team member supervision, resource use), Collaboration & Communication (internal and external coordination, orientation), Quality, Policy, and Education (CQI, risk management, professional development), Team Member Management (evaluation, discipline), Organizational Values & Customer Service, and Health and Safety (safe practices, hazard reporting, OHSA compliance).

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51

• Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset

• Performs care planning and coordination of care in a diverse multidisciplinary care team

• A demonstrated use of current care technology.

• Shall exhibit strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education, training, and professional

• development

• Must ensure all MOH and MLTC requirements are met.

• Must be computer literate

Join our team as a PREP - LTC Coordinator!

Under the direction of the Regional Manager of Leadership and Administrator Support the PREP-LTC Coordinator is responsible for the coordination onboarding, orientation and management of the student placements in all Jarlette Health Services locations. The PREP-LTC Student Coordinator will be responsible for the management of student placements and preceptorship throughout the organization and will act as the liaison between each of the organization’s homes and the various educational institutions throughout the province.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Preference will be given to candidates who hold a post-secondary diploma or degree.

• 2 years' experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology) preferred

• Minimum one (1) year of current related experience in project coordination and/or management

• Experience engaging with organizational partners

• Knowledge of the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act (FLTCHA), 2021 and all applicable regulations.

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Experience with Google Suite;

• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education

• Must be computer literate

• Must demonstrate strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to be creative and resourceful
